Iceland is a very expensive place to travel and this guest house was average price for Iceland but the quality of the rooms were low average. Our room had such a bad slope on it we had to sleep at the other end of the bed with our heads above our feet. The bathroom had a toilet in the middle of the room, you had to walk around it to get to the shower and even though the room came with breakfast included it was very poor quality.Guest review byLinford - 10.0

There was a lot of noise.

We stayed in Kirkjubaerjarklaustur and made day trips to the glacier and to black beach. If you have a car, it is a great place. The scenery is beautiful and it is a good location to explore the south eastern part of the island. It is a bit of a drive for groceries and I suggest you buy them in Reykjavik or at a larger town on the way to the south.Guest review byTPRUnited States

Located perfectly, in a wonderful vicinity with a small lake, a view on mountains, glaciers, a river valley. Very nice owner, Polish crew, everything is clean, a kitchen is well-equipped. You can wash and dry your clothes. Relatively not too expensive (like in Iceland). I was fourth time here and I love this place. It is my second home... Unfortunately there was a slight problem with this room but this was resolved quickly and within 10 minutes they had put us in another room. Not as much value for money as in other parts of Iceland but the south is expensive and in demand. Our room was clean and comfortable if very small, with a view of a paddock of horses.
