In the heart of Kerala, Vaikom offers a serene escape into the region's rich culture and natural beauty. During my recent visit, I was treated to a quintessential Kerala breakfast and a stay at a charming location in Vaikom. The breakfast was a delightful journey through Kerala's culinary heritage. From the soft and fluffy Appam served with a delectable vegetable stew, was a particular highlight. The flavorful Puttu paired with a spicy curry, each dish was a testament to the region's culinary expertise. The attention to detail in the preparation of each dish was evident, and I savored every bite. "Steeped in history and adorned with antique design, Anand Wood stay is a breath taking retreat that seamlessly blends old-world charm with modern luxury. The property exuded a sense of peace and tranquility, with well-appointed rooms and attentive staff. The highlight of my stay was the breath taking view of the backwaters, which I enjoyed from the comfort of my room. The serene surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation. Overall, my experience of a typical Kerala breakfast and stay in Vaikom was nothing short of exceptional. From the delicious flavors of the breakfast to the serene ambiance of the stay location, every aspect of my visit left a lasting impression. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Kerala to indulge in a traditional breakfast and experience the tranquility of Vaikom.

    Didn't see much of the main part of Vaikom but did walks...

    Didn't see much of the main part of Vaikom but did walks around the homestay. Visited a Temple and was lucky enough to see a ceremony which involved drumming, dancing, elaborate make-up and fire. There is a Ghandi memorial park to see which is very interesting.
