The accomodation was super cozy and clean. And Anand was the best host! He organized everything perfectly for us - from cheap kayak rental to sunrise boat tours - and he took us to a temple festival and on a bicycle tour around the island - it was simply lovely! And his amazing mum prepared the most delicious food for us (her egg curry was the best!) :) We didn’t feel like customers but friends during our stay, would always come back!

The room was very clean and spacious with a lovely terrace area, table and seating. The large bed was the most comfortable we have had in India. Our host was very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and plentiful. Our sunrise canoe ride was magical, the highlight of our stay.

A gem of a homestay and a gem of a host. From the moment we came to the property, it felt like a little slice of paradise tucked away right next to the water, abs beautiful home away from home! Location is spot on and the owner Suresh was also nice enough to give us his two bicycles for us to explore the island freely. Plenty of space inside and out, all well maintained. Great, homely area outside on the veranda to chill and have food/tea/coffee, which the family is always more than happy to prepare. Suresh will work hard every day to ensure we had everything we needed, including canoe ride, booking transport and also a ride on his very own motorbike around the island's more tucked away corners. We def recommend this homestay to anyone coming to Munroe Island and we hope to return again.

Our stay at Green Chromide was the highlight of our trip to India! Munroe Island itself was enchanting and Green Chromide Homestay did it much justice. The hospitality is genuine and abundant. The room itself was super clean, spacious, very comfortable, beautiful, and very thoughtfully designed, we even enjoyed the selection of books they had in there. Finally the food was delicious, cooked by the owners themselves. I would highly recommend staying there any day. We should probably mention that they saved our lives...but that's a different story for another audience : )

Uni and his family are really welcoming and caring. They made us feel part of the island community. The food is really tasty and diversed. We really enjoyed staying in Munroe Nest Homestay. The home is surrounded by a lot of greenery and on the first evening, when we arrived and it was raining we just sat on the porch and looked outside, because it felt so magical. Vishnu and his wife and family are very welcoming and the food they prepared was amazing. They also organized a canoe tour on the canals for us which was a lot of fun and very calming experience. Our room with the porch in and bathroom were all very nice and clean. We would definetely stay here again if we had the chance!
