The rooms were kept neat and tidy and spacious good enough for 6 of us including a child bathrooms were hygienic and well maintained with 24 hours water availability. The home stay is spacious with three bed rooms a couple of them air conditioned and one of them not with A/C . Kitchen was well equipped but for a gas stove or electric stove and will be available soon as per the host . The home stay will be more efficient if equipped with an RO water purifier. The host and their family were very friendly and caring and were supportive .

The most comfortable and welcoming stay I have experienced in India! The family are so immersive into their culture and willing to make you feel instantly at home. The room was comfortable, food was DELICIOUS and location was good for having a more chill experience. What a special time we had with Vijesh and his wonderful family at the homestay. I cannot recommend Munroe island and Vijesh’s home enough if you want a genuine authentic backwaters experience. The sunrise boat trip with Vijesh was one of the most memorable things we did in India as well as paddleboarding up the river and swimming in the backwaters. We ate the most delicious home cooked meals. The room was extremely comfortable and the communal spaces were very peaceful with hammocks included. We could do laundry as well which was really appreciated. Vijesh is a lovely person, great to talk to and we loved watching the snake boat races with him. He also helped organise a rickshaw when we had to leave. Going for walks around the home stay was a big highlight too. All in all this was a fantastic experience and we recommend to all!

The room was very clean and spacious with a lovely terrace area, table and seating. The large bed was the most comfortable we have had in India. Our host was very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and plentiful. Our sunrise canoe ride was magical, the highlight of our stay.

We loved our stay here. It is a true home stay in a beautiful locations, seconds away from a picture perfect river where you can admire the tranquility of the place. The host Suresh Babu is a very kind and welcoming man. He is very proud of his heritage and cannot do enough to make you feel at home. He will ensure your stay is comfortable and will cater for all your needs. His wife cooks the most amazing tasty meals, so make sure you eat at the home stay. It is fantastic value for money and would give this stay 100 if we could. I wish we could have stayed longer to take in more this tranquil location and enjoy heartfelt hospitality of the local folks. Suresh organised a memorable canoeing trip for us and helped with transport bookings. We highly recommend staying here. Thank you Suresh for being such a wonderful host.
