    It's a beautiful and less crowded beach destination in India. Great people and has some wonderful accommodation from budget to luxury accommodation. Alleppey backwater and beach is just 10 km from Marari.

    Very small sleepy village perfect for a remote escape. Unspoiled beach and nature with friendly inhabitants. A total escape. It is not a tourist spot but a quiet escape. The remoteness means little amenities like restaurants and shops. Come prepared with some snacks and supplies. A large resort hotel and some smaller ones, along with homestay, but little else for the independent traveller

    Great area - a little away from the hustle & bustle of other areas so it is quieter. The beach is beautiful, clean & quiet. Easy to get transport to other areas for more activity - close to backwater tours etc. Only limitation is perhaps lack of eating out options within walking area, best to have hotel with restaurant otherwise will need to travel by tuk tuk or taxi.

    The resort was a little too far away from the beach and the beach had no chairs, shade or umbrellas making it very difficult to stay very long. The surrounding area was not good to stroll around. The massage treatments are a 10 minute tuk tuk ride away and are quite expensive for India £34. We have been paying £15 previously.

    I was at much trouble due to the stay at Mararikulam due to booking at Spot On Sb Cruise, Aleppey (There is no such property). So I was to search for another property with the help of some Good Local peoples and by their efforts, I got a place to sleep.

    I like very much all areas of Mararikulam, I think it is cleaner than other places. The beach is amazing and magical, people are very kind. it is a paradise on earth, unfortunately, my resort needs some restoration, especially rooms, and the swimming pool. Nature is really enchanting I was in Seclude Marari sand resort, potentially the best part of the beach but the resort needs some work. It is quite expensive for the services it offers

    Relaxing place for a perfect holiday. With wonderful ambience and a peaceful sleep. I have travelled extensively through India and I can say this as the best place I stayed. The beach is about 6 minutes walk from the resort but their beautiful pool made me stay and enjoy it the whole day. I experienced the rich and authentic Kerala delicacy which they offered . Super must stay resort near Marari Beach

    The nicest hosts and best stay in Mararikulam. I was staying at Dream Catchers Marari for 3 days. I had a great and the warmest welcome from Shan. Very helpful and caring. I will come back here for sure! Spacious rooms and very quiet. Located in a nice residential area close to the beach, just a minute walk.

    Pure Keralan hospitality, and great hosts without overdoing it. A short walk down the path opposite to the amazing beach past friendly locals. The boat Adams owns gets you slowly down the river to the beach. Plenty of local advice. Long lazy days coming when we book for much longer as soon as we can.
