We had a great stay at Leenane Hotel. It's a very well maintained place with great rooms, excellent food and friendly staff. It's also dog friendly which is a rare thing in the area. What really stood out as well - the price we paid was more than fair.

Incredible view. Fireplace was well stocked. Outside grill was nice to cook some fresh oysters from local source. Very close to the national park. Washer and dryer are outside so they don’t bother you.

This precious cabin was perfect for me as a solo traveler and provided everything I really needed. Self-accomodating, very peaceful and dark for best sleep I've had in a long time. Amenities and restaurant/cafe locations are within quick driving distance. Westport may have more choices but I enjoyed Louisburgh 74 in Louisburgh (highly recommend their seafood chowder!!). Connemara, Kylemore Abbey, Clifden, Cong, Downpatrick Head, Achill Island and more, all easily accessible from this location. You can't go wrong here, especially if you are a solo traveler. Mary checked on me daily to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. Plus, everyone really should be greeted by the friendliest dog and cat when you arrive home (even if it's just your temporary home).

    Really good value.

Really good value. Great location for exploring beautiful area. The dorm is really low priced but clean and comfy with room to store possessions. Kitchen rather under-equipped especially in terms of saucepan provision.

The hotel is a short walk from the village. There were some lovely walks close to the hotel so you could park up and still be able to continue exploring beautiful Connemara on foot. The village is a continuation of the beautiful atmosphere of the hotel, friendly and great food.

It's a lovely quiet village and the people are very friendly. We had a really nice time in the local pub meeting up with some of my husband's relatives. Although it rained a lot while we were there it didn't dampen our mood.

Loved everything about this property and location.

Loved everything about this property and location. We had a beautiful room with a balcony on the third floor facing the river. Perfect for taking scenic photos! Since there are few options for restaurants in Leenaun and we didn't feel like driving anymore, we made a reservation at the restaurant for dinner. The food was amazing! We also enjoyed the traditional music in the pub and the fireplace in the sitting room. Our reservation included a full Irish breakfast, which was also delicious.

We stayed in the pet friendly area (building at the left of the main hotel) as we were bringing our doggie (who enjoyed Connemara a lot) and was an amazing experience. I have never been in a pet friendly hotel like this, really really recommended. The food served at the bar and restaurant were really good as well (highlighting the risotto). Breakfast very complete. Definitely will come back! The views are stunning looking at the fjord. Easy to park as well. 10/10

The property was easy to locate and enjoyed a stunning vista over the fjord and surrounding mountains. The room was light, airy and well appointed. It was a comfortable room, with fabulous views out. A very short walk took you into the tiny village of Leenaun where we enjoyed the hospitality of one of the local pubs. The food served there was appetising and well-priced. We had a thoroughly good evening before retiring. We'd certainly stay there again.

Such a beautiful place, the scenery surrounding is unreal. The hotel was very clean, warm and the family room was great. Breakfast was very good, a variety of foods and topped up often. Unfortunately we didn't get to partake in any activities as the times didn't suit us but we will on our next stay..
