Kinsale is a gorgeous place with lovely scenery and lovely people. Lots of unusual shops and lovely tea rooms and places to eat. A lovely harbour and has a market day also. When raining there is a museum to visit(if no rain, worth a visit) also Art Galleries. A big choice of places to eat also. Kinsale is one of my favourite places in Ireland, we love the chilled vibe of the town, the quirky streets and shops, fantastic coffee shops, bakeries, craft shops and of course its famous restaurants. I would recommend the walking Tour (Jason's) that leaves from the Visitor Centre, and the fantastic Harbour Boat Tour, and if your mobile a visit to Cork City and the beautiful and historic town of Cobh.Guest review byDonalUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Kinsale is a wonderful town, fantastic independent bars and restaurants, lovely unique boutique shops. Architecture is exceptional, literally is something for everyone. The only negative is it’s far too popular! Very busy and hard to park, I’m a dog owner and very difficult to experience the whole experience like having meals or shopping as most businesses don’t allow dogs except guide or assisted dogs. We were told Kinsale was one of the best destinations in Ireland, it’s quite nice but not great, yes some top restaurants like Man Friday and Fishy Fishy. Also a couple of good pubs like Jim Edwards. It could be heaps better, many places closed. Nothing of interest on the water like most Irish seaside towns. Enjoyed another visit to the Trident Hotel after our first stay over 30 years ago. Of course the hotel has been updated but the essential character remains. Lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful. Accommodation. Good sized, quiet and well appointed room. Air conditioning. Large bathroom with separate bath and shower. Comfortable bed. Great view over Kinsale Bay from the third floor room.
