Overall very aesthetic but pragmatic hotel with useful automatic or half automatic features in the room. Lovely staff, excellent short menu in Fawn restaurant and quiet rooms for weary travellers like us. No downsides, would definitely visit again. And yes, they offer gluten free and are aware of allergens - this was heightened by absence of carpet in the room: they have parquet!

I would recommend Zanzibar Locke for any traveler who desires a hotel-like experience in the city center of Dublin close to the "movida" The common spaces and private spaces were all well maintained with great amenities. The room was spacious, while there were some small improvements needed, you still felt extremely comfortable. All staff encounters were good. Specifically during our stay Silvia, Jamila, Kirstie, and Mauro were exceptionally helpful and pleasant people to talk with. They had great recommendations and know their city very well. It was a pleasure to meet them. Overall the experience was great and would be a place we could return too.

The location is perfect. The hotel is on a bend of a street that's right in the middle of several distinct areas of central Dublin. Anywhere you want to go - there's a somewhat straight way to get there. Rooms are nicely done, with enough surfaces to put things on and enough places to sit. Our room was also very quiet, even on a Friday night I enjoyed coming to the coffee/tea stand at the lobby in the mornings. Complimentary water in the fridge is a nice little touch.

FAQs about hotels in Dublin

Great History, Greenery and Pubs

Dublin is home to more than a quarter of the entire Republic of Ireland’s population and was originally founded as a Viking settlement. A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green-spaces of any other European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.

Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College holds the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.

Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.

Being one of the most youthful European cities, Dublin has a vibrant nightlife scene with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.

The Dublin Airport is the gateway to your Irish holiday, so whether you’re looking for a stylish hotel, a self-catering apartment or a trendy hostel, Booking.com has a perfect deal for your Dublin trip.

i had a lovely long stroll through the rain along the River Liffey to see its many Beautiful Bridges singing Gene Kellys iconic "Singing in the Rain" & every other rain song i cld remember taking pics of the River, swans & the many wonderfully architectural / historic Buildings that align the rivers sides . Dublins many Pubs that are filled with their own character, warmth & charm, were made extra special by the Great Live Music of Fiddle, Guitar &Singing. But if you love garlic you'll have to bring your own.

There is loads to see and do in Dublin.

There is loads to see and do in Dublin. We went to celebrate a friends 40th so most of it was spent exploring the local, cosy pubs for a good pint of Guinness and traditional music. The nightlife in Dublin is amazing, Temple Bar is good to see for one but as everyone says it is geared up for tourist and you pay accordingly. You only have to venture a few streets back to find the lively bars where the locals go, and pay a much more reasonable price for a drink. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, our friend had a birthday badge on and everywhere we went he got offered a birthday pint by a stranger.

Dublin is wonderful but bring a boatload of euros because it’s expensive. The city is interesting, although a lot of gentrification and redevelopment going on, for better or worse. We really liked the hop-on, hop-off and went with Big Bus Tours for the 24 hours—would do the 48 hour option next time. It’s grand, as they’d say.

Dublin has a lot to offer with history, wonderful museums, entertainment, food (my favorite pub on O'Connell St was Madigans, lovely people that work there and food was good. Evening has entertainment but be very aware of your surroundings as, unfortunately Dublin is not the Dublin it used to be, and I have been going there for 20 years, but go enjoy and hope you bring back wonderful memories as I have. They also have wonderful Hop on Hop off busses which works great when you get tired feet, also day tours are great way to also enjoy Ireland...go, enjoy! I'm adding a few pics outside of Dublin, just a short ride.

First visit to Dublin, for a sporting weekend, 2 nights.

First visit to Dublin, for a sporting weekend, 2 nights. I would have liked to have stayed 1 more night to see sights but that would be sufficient as its a tourist city...unless i was planning to use it as a base to go visit the rest of Ireland. Honestly...the craic is all a bit over-hyped. If its a hen night or stag do youll probably enjoy it. But there aren't too many sights, and apart from the authentic Guinness and the occasional irish music venue, the bars & clubs are not really anything you can't get in the rest of the UK. Its ridiculously expensive and 'highly variable' accommodation, and the food/drink is also very pricey (think Switzerland!). We were an older group and had a v good expensive meal at the Trocadero restaurant (think £50+ for one main course and couple glasses wine each), and had fun at the Maison en Seine bar/club. But the friendliness only goes so far and wasn't always evident. E.g. came across a very surly unhelpful barman at Darkey Kelly's pub, and many attractions-based staff frankly gave the impression of being bored and touristed out!

It was expensive considering it’s €17 Cab fare each way to the city. (Approximately 12-15 mins in car to city centre) very clean and comfortable though. Also cleaners were there dead on 11am and practically escorted us out the door, being in Ireland you would expect them to be a little friendlier, they barely said hi to us but walked out to lock the door after us, I found that strange for such a renowned friendly City such as Dublin.

Location is excellent in the city centre, staff were top class and the bedroom and facilities are really good. The valet service for car parking was an added bonus and for €25 was great value for city centre parking. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Trinity City hotel for anyone visiting Dublin who likes to stay in the city centre at an affordable cost in a really nice hotel.

Top Class Experience. Comfortable Bed and Immaculate Condition of Room. Welcome Drink is a Nice Touch. The Best of this Hotel is definitely the Location though. Can't be beat at all in Dublin City Centre. The Breakfast was Perfectly Cooked and Delicious. I do question the Herby Sausages for Breakfast though. They're very tasty, just not what you'd expect for Breakfast.

The staff were so friendly. The hotel is right by the canal, and in each reach of Camden Street pubs and restaurants, and a 20 min walk down the city centre. I usually stay at another hotel near here, but it was fully booked this stay. Next time I am in Dublin I will stay ar the NYX. Great products in the bathroom as well.
