Great stay with our children (3+5yrs)! Very nice and clean, one day we used the playing area (a small fee) , next we swimmed (incl in hotel price) all afternoon! We also enjoyed some play time around the back, there are a few things to explore for a hour or two. Great base for Galway / Cliffs of Moher and more. Good food!

Old world charm. Staff very friendly. Food very good, I recommend the Duck. Had a lovely chat with the owner, Alaco, before I left. Very charming lady. I would return.

Excellent lodge. We were given a lovely, cozy and spacious room with three windows overlooking the main street (but quiet and silent). At our arrival we found some delicious sweets in the room, jointly with a keetle and spring water. Everything was very clean. There was free parking for guests (otherwise there are metters in the streets). Breakfast was a la carte in nearby restaurant.

We were very fortunate to secure this booking and found the facilities to be first class and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect for our needs and was quiet, secure and handy to the start of the Wild Atlantic Way. Good on-site parking. The breakfast and other small touches were very much appreciated.     This is a super area to stay in for exploring Galway and surrounding areas. The town has plenty of shops which would make a self catering stay a possibility if needed. We had a super meal in the Stone House Pizza bar at the old barracks….would highly recommend.

    The breakfast n evening meal at Raheenwoods were superb,the bed was our only fault it was uncomfortable for us,definitely recommend a visit,don't take my word,visit the hotel,experience the hospitality you'll definitely be back,they have the loveliest staff I ever came across,it has a lovely leisure centre that I didn't get to visit,next time though I'll be in it😊

    The castle was lovely and the heritage center was a lot of fun and very informative, there are some lovely restaurants, we ate in the old barracks food was delicious and we got some lovely cakes to take away. We stayed in the Raheen woods which is a very family friendly hotel. Athenry has a train station and is only a fifteen minutes trip to Galway city

    I loved everything about the place only thing that needs looking at is the bar menu I had the chicken burger I asked was the chicken fresh I was so looking forward to fresh chicken breast burger Especially for the price I would expect fresh not frozen

    The staff in all areas of the hotel were exceptional, warm and friendly, helpful and efficient. Best hotel experience we've had in a long time and we are avid travellers. The hotel was immaculate, modern with a warm welcoming feel. Food was excellent. Family friendly with plenty of activities onsite and locally and just a stones throw from Galway city .

    We had a nice time here .

    We had a nice time here . The heritage centre is worth a visit. For 5 euro you get to go on a tour and learn lots of the history of Athenry in a fun and interesting way ,you get to wear costumes and you get to do archery and a maze. Such a lovely experience. There's also a castle and an Abbey to visit . Great playground for children. The food in the restaurants and pubs was just gorgeous. The people were friendly and nice. Definitely will return again.

    Had the pleasure of spending the weekend in this amazing Hotel with stunning gardens that is so peaceful you’d happily sit there all day. The rooms are spacious and spotless clean . Had breakfast on both mornings and dinner on Saturday night and the food is delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I’d highly recommend this Hotel to anyone. The train is only a 5 minute walk and just a few stops into Galway city.

    From the moment we were greeted in the pizzeria (because we arrived late) the quality of service, food and accomodation could not have been better. We stayed in Athenry because Galway was booked out, however we were so happy that happened we couldn't have planned it better. I don't often write reviews but these guys definitely deserve one.
