Makarska Riviera is a beautiful destination.
Makarska Riviera is a beautiful destination. Croatian government removed the tool boot fee from the Saint Ilija tunnel and travelers can shorten their travel into the mountains and back significantly and save some money. You have different restaurants so you can pick what you like the most. It is easy to navigate around Tucepi and visit other spots. Sport activities are heavily affected by heat but you always have the swimming and other activities, like boating, parachute gliding and such. Tucepi is a pretty resort approximately 15 minutes' drive from Makarska. The beach is pebbly and the sea beautifully clear. We found one end to be quite windy and the sea choppy, whereas the area closer to the marina was more sheltered. We visited in late September when the season was obviously coming to an end as some bars and restaurants were closed. There is only a pedestrian road between the hotel and the beach. Hava and Marco in the reception were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel offers everything you might need, wonderful restaurant, the quality of breakfast, very clean hotel. The restaurant team is absolutely amazing.
