Small, but very creative and cosy accommodation, the quality of the construction is exemplary. However, due to its size, it is only recommended for short holidays, but that's okay, the area is very beautiful and there is a lot to explore so one probably won’t spend much time at the accommodation. Very quiet, peaceful, easy to relax. The view from the terrace of the accommodation over Motovun is spectacular. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Ideal for couples.

Amazing view, kind and welcoming staff. The welcome drink was exactly what was needed once we arrived. Definitely take the extra breakfast and if you get a room with a view, enjoy it on the balcony. Room and bathroom are spatious and clean. The location is perfect. If you arrive by car they organize parking for you. Recommend 100%.

We had a wonderful stay at Prospect Motovun Studio. The apartment was beautiful, cozy, and perfectly located just next to Motovun, with amazing views of the surroundings. I don't think it is easy to describe the beauty of Motovun and of Casa Pino Pina. We rented the entire villa with friends (group of 6). The house is an old/traditional house with many levels. It is refurbished and decorated with very good taste and it combines modern and traditional with elegance. It is very well equipped and it has many separate spaces so you can either stay with the group or isolate with your partner. The owners were in contact with us for everything we needed (all we needed was information, the house had everything). We stayed there for three nights on our roadtrip from Dubrovnik to Zagreb and our stay was amazing.

Great little town to walk around in. Great local wineries. Amazing local fruit stand as you make your way up the hill. He had the best selection of the most wonderful fruit and veggies. The ice cream was fantastic. Sampling of truffles and local alcohol without being pressured was amazing. Just fantastic hospitality overall shown by the locals.

Motovun is a wonderful place full of history and unique charm, though travelers should know that almost all of the restaurants and bars are closed during the month of February. In February it resembles a ghost town.

Beautiful ancient town with much to see and lots of great restaurants and shops. Not great for people with mobility issues of any kind. The walking is a bit of a workout. Very steep hills and cobblestone roads. Parking seems to be an issue.

Motovun is a charming and almost fairy-tale like village on...

Motovun is a charming and almost fairy-tale like village on a hill. We felt like we had completely gone back in time; yet, we had easy access to almost all of the rest of Istria from there, including seaside towns, wine tasting, truffle hunting, olive oil tasting and local shopping. The furthest town was Pula. Everything else was more like 30 minutes. We are spending two weeks in Croatia and we are so thankful we spent three days/nights in Motovun as our hub for visiting Istria. Heads up: it is a lot of uphill walking on cobblestones to get into the center of town - but SO worth it.

Great place for lovers of medieval hill-top towns and truffles. One can enjoy just a stroll through the town and views of surroundings for an hour, can have a great dining experience or stay for days and explore Istria, one of the prettiest and welcoming places on earth. "Medieval" and "hill-top" also mean that you walk a lot on rugged cobblestone, you walk uphill and climb stairs, and "great place" means it's crowded in the high season (summer). Still, one of the better places to escape to from crowded coastal towns, focused primarily on visitors' wallets.

A classic medieval town that was so fun to explore. Be sure to visit the cathedral (opened about 10 during our visit) and (carefully) climb the bell tower for a spectacular view of the valley and beyond. We visited in late October when some businesses had closed for the season and others were winding down. We would visit again in September.

The view from the balcony is amazing. Nice big balcony as well. Room is well appointed. The owners pick you up from the carpark used for hotel guests which is a 15.min up and down steep hills so well needed. Take the breakfast offered by.ownera as there is nothing open for breakfast in the village. Location is great just 5 mins from the castle.

Wonderful hotel perched on a hill in Motovun with stunning views. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were exceptionally kind, and the facilities were well-maintained. We especially enjoyed waking up to the serene atmosphere and savoring my morning coffee with a beautiful view. Highly recommend staying here!
