Makarska is nice place to visit in June and September. July and August is very hot and a lot off tourists on the beach, and on the streets. A lot of traffic, problem to find parking place. Very friendly, helpful and caring hosts. Parking is nearby. Shops are nearby. The fish market is just two steps away. There is a great Lidl nearby. A pleasant short walk and you are already on the beach or in any corner of the city. I advise anyone with children to go to the Makarska Observatory in the evening.
