Gythio was phenomenal, a true gem of the Peloponnese! Everything you need, from high end restaurants to wonderful shops. Very tourist friendly town. Amazing views of the sea from every angle! Saga Fish Restaurant in Gythio is an absolute must for seafood. We were a five minute drive from Gythio. We stayed at Thirides Beach Resort. One of the most charming places I’ve visited in Greece. A picturesque town with a truly unique vibe. It’s perfect for walking, especially along the beautiful seaside road, where you can relax with a drink and take in the view. There are plenty of small, local shops to explore, and an impressive number of bars and restaurants in a prime waterfront location. The lighthouse is also a lovely spot for sightseeing. The local Mani cuisine is absolutely fantastic. In addition to the classic dishes you'd expect in a Greek taverna, you’ll find regional specialities that really stand out. The SAGA fish restaurant on site was amazing, make a reservation when you check-in as it’s difficult to get a table otherwise.
