Very good location, not far from the beach and the main road, but far enough to be quiet. The room was spacious, clean and nice, with large terrace. The breakfast was good with enough options to choose from. The staff was very kind. Parking is possible on site.

We come back to this hotel year after year and are already looking forward to going again next year. Fabulous pool, excellent buffet breakfast and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, even the pillows are great. The hotel was full but still maintained a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The real gem of this hotel is the staff. They are second to none and really make the whole experience worth while.

Lovely apartment with nice pool and stunning views from one of the balconies. It was such a pleasure staying here with the feeling of living in the mountains and two excellent taverns in walking distance. The staff were exceptional. Maria and Nassos are the epitome of Greek hospitality, so helpful and welcoming. The apartment is in close proximity to the city and city beaches,(15& 10 minutes drive) it's a wonderful peaceful getaway with all you need close by.

We really enjoyed our 10-day stay at Reflections Apartments at the end of July 2025. We had the top apartment with a massive terrace and breathtaking sea views. It had everything we needed – brand new appliances (including a washing machine, air-conditioning, iron, and espresso machine), plenty of towels, toilet paper, a hoover, hairdryer, decent-sized TV, Wi-Fi (not super fast, but worked fine), sunbeds on the terrace, a wardrobe, and more. Our apartment was a duplex, with the bedroom upstairs and the living area downstairs – a perfect size for our little family of three. The hosts were incredibly helpful and responded to everything we asked for on the same day.

    Massive thing i wish i knew before is the bus system is the cheapest form of travel to and from the Chania airport and is fairly quick and regular, prices starting from 2.50 euros .Stalos was a perfect destination for all age groups , clean , all the bars and restaurants are family/locally owned and all the people are freindly and polite . The beach is clean and easily accessible .

    We reached from Heraklion to chania via bus and rented...

    We reached from Heraklion to chania via bus and rented scooter. We reached property in the evening and visited harbor and lighthouse. Had a stroll through the street and had dinner. Next day (day 2) we went to visit monastery and seitan lamnia. It was a great day with a good ride and trekking. Highly recommendable to young people who like to face fear of heights and enjoy trekking. The beach was awesome. Came back, freshed up, enjoyed sunset in the nearby beach of Melina's House, had dinner from Indian Restaurant and came back. On day 3, we went to Starlos (turquoise beach), had a swim and came back by 11am, checked out by 12pm.

    Stalos has some lovely family restaurants.

    Stalos has some lovely family restaurants. We used the local supermarkets and shops so didnt need to travel for provisions. There is a good bus service to local beaches and shops if needed. After investigating nearby beaches we took a taxi to Iguana Beach regularly as there were sunbeds and a little cafe close by. We had a 9 year old with us so it was important to be on a safe beach with shallow waters. There are also lifeguards on the beach.

    Very Greek with magnificent views of the bay.

    Very Greek with magnificent views of the bay. Glorious sunsets. Local shops don’t stock much food at all - we got the impression the hotels ‘discourage’ it, which is not good for local tradespeople. Local economies are part of real sustainability so this is important.

    Great location although it would be useful to give accurate...

    Great location although it would be useful to give accurate information on how to find the small access road off the main road once you leave the highway. The hotel itself was great and has good views over the coastline. It is also close to loads of restaurants. The owner is very amiable and gifts a small bottle of local extra virgin olive oil with the hotel name when you check out as a useful aide memoire.

    Stalos is a small and quiet town, at 30 minutes drive from Chania, with a beautiful beach and good tavernas. If you prefer to be far away from touristic and crowded places and if you have a car, this is the perfect place to be.

    We spent 2 weeks here and everything was perfect! The bigger apartment was very well equipped and worked great for a family of 4. Everything was clean and tidy, the bed was nice and soft. The pool we had access to was nice, with a poolbar. The location was great for us as well, close to the beach and great restaurants close by. If we wanted more options the walk to Agia Marina was not to far. One of the best apartments we have stayed at in Crete. The owners are very polite and friendly.

    Although the small hotel is situated in a pretty densely built up area in between a road and the sea, one can truly enjoy peace and quiet and the sea at Hermes Beach Front, so we loved our short stay. One can reach the sandy beach almost by just stepping out of the room. There are shops and restaurants near by and Chania town is just a short drive away. We saw public buses here and there but the schedules did not look frequent enough so we relied on a private car instead.

    Stunning villa. Quiet in a peaceful environment but not far from restaurant and activity. The view of the villa is amazing and you find all you need in the house. The situation in Stalos is great as well to discovers west Crete. Not far from Hania. The owner Leuteris is flexible (late arrival, we could let our luggages in the house after check out…) and communication with him was easy.
