Loved walking around in the city center and having lunch here during the day, but we mostly had dinner along the beach. Lots of things to see, many boat trips (3 Island Trip with the Oddysey and Nisyros trip highly recommended). Beach: We loved going to Tarzan and using their sunbeds. Kos is a fascinating town with ancient Roman ruins everywhere and a great selection of shops and restaurants! Avoid the strip along the beach where it’s quite gritty and scruffy, we got the bus most days to other beaches as we got a bit sick of the busyness of the town. Kos was one of the most visitor friendly island. The large sidewalks and bike lanes were impressive. The post barriers along streets also great. the benches along Marina provided umbrellas for shade. That was a first! It is a well thought out plan for people. Walkable. Restaurants were diverse and delicious. I mostly stayed near Kos Town and walked everywhere, averaging about 40k steps a day. I highly recommend learning to ride a bike or, even better, a motorcycle. Renting a car is a good choice, but parking can be tricky.Guest review byGirayTurkey - 10.0

The most outstanding experience of Kos town was the people. Everywhere we went we met kind, friendly and generous people. Everything in Kos town is within walking distance from the beach to the old town. We liked the most, the friendly and affable staff, nothing was a problem. Thank you to Katy, Maria and Marita they really were so helpful and always happy and easy to converse with. The room was kept immaculate by housekeeping, and breakfast had a good selection of typical Greek fare and with usual eggs, fruit and cereal on offer. The food was surprisingly good for all inclusive and there was plenty of choice every day. We also had no problem getting sun loungers at the pool even on days we were up a bit later. The staff were really friendly and the entertainment was fun in the evenings. There is a bus stop that goes to Kos town which takes 10 minutes.
