Although not the typical white-washed cycladic village, it is still a comfortable ferry port that turns into a pedestrian area once the last ferry is gone or parked for the night, giving the opportunity to families with small kids to enjoy the stroll. A cosy family run hotel overlooking the beach and the port - we had a corner room with a balcony offering both views. A very good bed and mattress which we enjoyed after a whole day travelling and gave us a good night’s sleep! Breakfast was healthy and good with enough choice. Korissia is a hidden gem, a gorgeous, quiet place full of nature, perfect for getting away on a weekend from a busy life and take a break, breath and enjoy clear air and lovely people. If you want to see around you definitely need a car. Beware of inaccessible roads. Go for it if you are adventurous and you have a car good for rocky roads. He gave me all instructions how to get from the port to the apartment. I got upgraded to the bigger room with the balcony . Bed was really good to rest and sleep, toilet was clean, small table to eat breakfast and enough kitchen utilities. Wifi works well. Location is at the end of Korissia at the main road to Ioulis.
