Well i had not been to Benitses for over 42 years ,and it was a bit of a shock ! The town looks run down and the beaches are not very good ,too much traffic drives by to get any peace on the beach . The roads are dangerous and busy ,lack of pavements .The old town is better with nice places to eat and drink ,night time is best The restaurant called the Olive was lovely ,the ambiance was relaxing and the food was delicious. There is a good bus service if you want to get about,you can buy bus tickets from some shops .it make it a lot easier. The beach in Benitses is small and pebbly, not sandy.
The beach in Benitses is small and pebbly, not sandy. It offers both equipped areas with sunbeds and umbrellas (two sunbeds and one umbrella cost €12 per day) and free sections. There are showers and toilets available free of charge. The beach is also accessible for people with reduced mobility. Just cross the road and you have shops and services within easy reach. We stayed right in Benitses, and on the days when we didn’t feel like exploring by scooter, we remained there and enjoyed some lovely, relaxing days by the sea.Guest review byValentinaItaly - 8.0

The city is small, but there are a lot of tavernas, small shops. The beach is small, but easy to access. Not so far from the airport, and due to its center location, you can discover easily the island. Benitses is lovely! Relatively quiet and not rowdy. There is a fabulous GYROS takeaway called Gryoleague near to the town square and they serve a small menu of SUPERB gyros, souvlaki, hot dogs, burgers and sandwiches. They are hearty portions and only 4 euros for gyros, 2 euros for souvlaki. We ate there a lot because it was so cheap and relatively healthy with all the salad they provide. We saved so much eating there. TBH we had two expensive meals in the restaurants and were not impressed with the quality or the content so preferred to eat at Gyroleague, take it back to our studio and make our own greek salads as the supermarket's have such fresh fruit and veg it's impressive. Two main supermarkets provide all you need. Not too many 'tat' shops. Just a lovely place to browse. The beaches in Benitses are rocky/pebbly/shale so you'll need beach shoes but it's beautiful all the same and and the water is crystal clear. The harbour is beautiful and the mountain views are stunning. No 6 bus to Corfu town is easy to take but they do get quite crowded so watch out for that. Gina Studios is perfect for a great greek holiday! The owner, the whole staff and the views from the gesthouse are really WOW! Walk 2 minutes to the swimming pool. Walk 5 minutes to the beach, taverns, shops. Walk 10 minutes to the Marina, historical old city, bus stop and bakery. To the airport 20 minutes by taxi for 35 euros. They treat you like you are their family. Rooms are great and the breakfast was delicious. They gave us perfect advices on how to get around the Corfu island. Location is excellent and the bus stop is literally in front of the hotel. We could not have asked for a better place to stay.
