The town of Pembroke Dock is very quiet with basically one main street and not too many shops. It is good as a base to travel around the area though. There are a few cafes and restaurants in the town and we had lovely food wherever we went.

Pembroke Dock is what it is.

Pembroke Dock is what it is. I wouldn't say it is a place I would rush to for a holiday other than anyone doing the coastal path as we were. But if you do go, make sure you visit Pembroke and especially the castle- it was very interesting and lots to see. And can recommend Randalls at the Dolphin hotel for food, and the Jolly Sailor just the other side of the big bridge - that's got lovely outside areas and also views from the restaurant. Food was good too.

Pembroke Dock is within easy reach of Pembroke Castle, Bosherston Lily Ponds and Broad Haven beach. The Ferry Inn had excellent food - worth a visit. The view over the water from our accommodation was fantastic - we were happy to sit and watch all the activity!

Enjoyed our visit to and 2 night stay in Pembroke Dock.

Enjoyed our visit to and 2 night stay in Pembroke Dock. Some areas aren’t the greatest but it’s a handy base for exploring the beautiful wider area or using the ferry. We stayed at the Shipwright pub which was comfy and good value for money, right on the harbour. The “pub” downstairs is primarily a restaurant and is a bit of a gem as the food was lovely, albeit the pub a bit dated with original ship-y decor and wooden benches. Very quiet when we visited in November as we were the only eaters and that’s a real shame as locals don’t use it more, but apparently Sunday Lunch is very popular. If you want shopping then every major supermarket is there as well as some larger “out of town “ retail parks that have stores like Homebargains, garden centres and an ok high street. There’s quite a few places to eat (restaurants) as well as fast food places. Overall it’s fine place to base yourself when visiting but isn’t as pretty as elsewhere but that’s reflected in the price point per night. So don’t dismiss it and go elsewhere!

The management take good care of their guests, nothing is too difficult for them. There are good places nearby to get breakfast. A beautiful town, I was there when it was sunny so that was a bonus. I came in on the ferry and the house is just a few minutes away. I had a peaceful.sleep in very comfortable surroundings.

I stay in hotels week in week out because of work commitments, this place was on another level, really nice staff, peaceful nights sleep and best of all is the glass room at the front looking out watching the tugs and ships passing by, the pics online really don't do this place justice you need to be there, , I will be returning with my family asap.

The property has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard. Particularly loved the secret door to the fantastic basement entertainment room. Pembroke Dock is an ideal location to base oneself for exploring the South West Coast of Wales. We had a lovely time and will certainly recommend Falcon House to others.
