    Lovely town with great high street lots of independent shops...

    Lovely town with great high street lots of independent shops beautiful river walks plenty pubs but only one (at the bridge) with real ale very friendly pub and fun live music on Sunday nights great places to eat especially Coltman’s deli and the chocolate school shop . Recommend Peebles also has its own wee theatre x

    There is plenty of things to see and do in the area as well as in Pebbles. Good choice of pubs and restaurants to suit everyone. We were fortunate enough to be there when the Highland Games were on which was a bonus. Lovely walks along the river

    Hotel very clean and all the staff were amazing. Short walk down to the town and lots of things to do and visit in the area. Great selection of independent shops in the town. Lots of different options for places to eat and drink too.

    A lovely border town on the banks of the river Tweed.

    A lovely border town on the banks of the river Tweed. Lovely walks along the river. Beautiful buildings. Free parking in the car parks. Great for golf (Macdonald Cardrona), Mountain biking and Go Ape (Glentress).

    Peebles is a beautiful little town set on the River Tweed.

    Peebles is a beautiful little town set on the River Tweed. There are loads of walks and spectacular views. The birds we saw were amazing, crested gold finch and buzzards red starts and too many chiffon chaffs! There are good places to eat, particularly The Park hotel and Cocoa Blacks is great for hot chocolate.

    Check in was delayed from the 3pm stated. I waited for a room. Many others checked inline while I was waiting….dont understand that. As I had been there for 5hrs waiting Why was I not given a room and they wait

    A basic hotel in the heart of Peebles, but pleasant nonetheless. We got a spacious room on the first floor. The room and bathroom are pretty basic but clean. A rich tea set welcomed us. Staff were all helpful. The restaurant has good food with massive portions for the price: the pate as starter could have been a main, the burger is huge and the selection of desserts on the board is almost unlimited. Both we ordered were delicious and huge, all for a fair price.

    Location in Peebles, nice views, lots of amenities The sharing plate of fish pie was very nice, although the prawns were so overcooked that they were rock hard. The staff in the restaurant were very helpful and friendly, particularly the newer staff in training. The history of the hotel explained in pictures was very interesting and backed up the long heritage of the Hydro
