I have to say the staff. Especially two young ladies serving dinner and breakfast. One is still at school and one is heading to university soon. They were the most polite and thoughtful young ladies. They spoke beautifully and were watchful for anyone who was needing attention. They were not intrusive but were there when required. Thankyou for hiring excellent staff. This truely makes travel a wonderful experience. The building and furnishings were particularly beautiful and the room was very comfortable.

A lovely hotel with great facilities. Greeted by helpful pleasant staff. Our room was fantastic, a large comfortable bed, two very comfortable arm chairs and an added bonus of great views. Dinner was also excellent served in the dining room, which also has great views. Would definitely use again.

This was the most amazing experience ever and the Staff are fantastic! Highly recommend! 10 stars! The room, the bed is beautiful, the sitting room makes you feel like royalty, the view, the hidden staircases, being able to have a fire in the fireplace, the hidden kitchenette (which held some wonderful little snacks), the history, EVERYTHING! Making family back home jealous….priceless! Thank you to the staff and owners for sharing such a magnificent part of history! We will be forever grateful that we were able to experience Neidpath Castle.

    Lovely town with great high street lots of independent shops beautiful river walks plenty pubs but only one (at the bridge) with real ale very friendly pub and fun live music on Sunday nights great places to eat especially Coltman’s deli and the chocolate school shop . Recommend Peebles also has its own wee theatre x

    There is plenty of things to see and do in the area as well as in Pebbles. Good choice of pubs and restaurants to suit everyone. We were fortunate enough to be there when the Highland Games were on which was a bonus. Lovely walks along the river

    Hotel very clean and all the staff were amazing. Short walk down to the town and lots of things to do and visit in the area. Great selection of independent shops in the town. Lots of different options for places to eat and drink too.

    A lovely border town on the banks of the river Tweed.

    A lovely border town on the banks of the river Tweed. Lovely walks along the river. Beautiful buildings. Free parking in the car parks. Great for golf (Macdonald Cardrona), Mountain biking and Go Ape (Glentress).

    Peebles is a beautiful little town set on the River Tweed.

    Peebles is a beautiful little town set on the River Tweed. There are loads of walks and spectacular views. The birds we saw were amazing, crested gold finch and buzzards red starts and too many chiffon chaffs! There are good places to eat, particularly The Park hotel and Cocoa Blacks is great for hot chocolate.

    The Park Peebles is a lovely country hotel with a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The bus to Edinburgh is right next to the hotel and the drive is majestic with beautiful scenery. Breakfast was substantial and full breakfast could be made to order. The town of Peebles itself has a selection of places to eat and lovely country Scottish shops. The River Tweed is a lovely backdrop to the town itself. Recommend this hotel highly. Thank you to The Park for a delightful stay!

    Absolutely loved our dinner, bed and breakfast stay at Barony Castle. The facilities were great, warm pool, good gym, nice sauna and excellent food. The young staff are an absolute credit to the hotel, some of the most professional and courteous that I have met. We come to Peebles a lot throughout the year and due to me being a golfer, we usually stay at the Cardrona but after our stay at Barony - we have a new favourite hotel in the area.

    Traditional styled, busy hotel in the centre of Peebles. Fantastic welcome every time I have stayed. Excellent staff who cannot do enough to help. Service with a smile and a chat. Such a credit. Very comfortable bed. Tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Breakfast has everything you could want, plentiful and absolutely delicious. The food here is amazing….steak pie is a must have and highly recommended!

    Very disappointed with breakfast. Stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and the breakfast was amazing. This time the food was only warm, well over cooked and some of it inedible. However plenty fresh fruit, yoghurt and pastries on offer. Location is beautiful and peaceful, and only 5 minutes in the car to Peebles city centre. Bedrooms very spacious and comfy beds.
