We stayed at Knowsley as it was much more cost effective...
We stayed at Knowsley as it was much more cost effective than 2 nights in similar accommodation in Liverpool. We were down for the Everton Man City game. Unfortunately neither of us drive and as buses don't Service the hotel at the weekend meant we had to rely on taxis. For anyone who drives the location is not a problem though. Visited a few of the local hostelries. Copperpot, Derby Arms and Vikings Landing all were very friendly places with good service. Plenty for kids to do, seal show was fab and enjoyed the train ride around the park seeing some of the animals, plenty of kiosks for ice creams and places to sit in with shade as weather was red hot, clean toilets with disabled facilities. Not worth a 4 stars hotel. Paid too much to stay there.
Not worth a 4 stars hotel. Paid too much to stay there. I expected more from initial pictures shown on booking.com. Shower and taps was hard to use. Then water pressure coming out of the shower head was so hard that my 10 years old son did not like as it hurt him.Guest review byLongUnited Kingdom

The sign for the hotel was covered by high tree branches so wasn't visible for many taxi drivers. Many had driven past it.bedeoom lacked a table or desk,everything place on a very thin ledge,including the kettle and cups etc. The TV had no signal so could even watch Tv whilst we were in our room.
