We had a chalet room. Large room with sofa & writing desk, small patio,and so quiet. Full English breakfast, absolutely delicious...kudos to the chef 😊 Beautiful park like grounds kept immaculate. Predominately Friendly & helpful staff a real credit to the place. They also have regular dinner shows at very reasonable prices. We've been travelling around Europe for 6 weeks & would definitely put the Kings Croft at the top of the accommodation list 🤩

The Christmas suite was gorgeous, a very spacious mezzanine with bathroom upstairs and bedroom & living space downstairs. The on-site pub was great for dinner and breakfast. All the staff we encountered were kind and welcoming.

Everything, it was just perfect for a relaxing break. The host was so very welcoming and the peace and the views were amazing. We asked to stay another night but it was booked, obviously! Cannot wait to go back.

Staff were incredibly polite and welcoming, I ended up being a couple hours earlier in selby than I first thought. When I let them know, they made sure to push my room clean forward so I could check in a little earlier than I expected.

We arrived on Saturday early evening. It was busy, but the ladies who met us were immediately welcoming and friendly. They assured us we’d get a table in the bar to eat a bit later and took us to our room. Absolutely beautiful room. So tastefully decorated and immaculate, clean and elegant. Gorgeous bathroom. The bed was soooo comfortable. Plenty of coffee and tea and bottled water in the fridge! Food in the bar was excellent. I had the homemade beef pie, my husband chose the salmon. I cannot emphasis enough how friendly every single member of staff was. To add to our experience-we were offered a complimentary breakfast-we would have been silly to turn that down!!! Breakfast was freshly cooked and lovely. We were attending a family christening on the Sunday, and weren’t around for most of the day but when we returned in the early evening, despite a very busy Sunday lunch service, the chef offered to make us a toasted sandwich with some fries. Again, a delicious meal. Sadly, we had to leave on Monday, but not before another lovely breakfast and a great chat with Helen, our lovely server! We will be back - highly recommended!

We didn't se much of Knottingley as we weren't there to...

We didn't se much of Knottingley as we weren't there to sightsee but there was a lovely pub called the Cobblers just a short drive from the Hawthornes were we stayed, It was recommended as a good place for Carvery food an we enjoyed it very much

Stylish house smelt of damp. Shower did not work and leaked. Electricity went off..Bedroom TV's did not work. The garden had no chairs or table to sit out in. Toilet seat was broken.The beds were comfortable however the rest fell wellbeing the expected standard..I contacted the Intermediary booking agent via several phone calls. None of our concerns were taken seriously..We left the accommodation a night early to return home..An expensive stay with no redeeming features.

Bit of a hidden gem - nice canal and a great pub overlooking...

Bit of a hidden gem - nice canal and a great pub overlooking it! Easy access to A1 and plenty of great countryside nearby. Train station so options for those not driving. There for a party so didn't really explore more widely but will be back.
