Holyhead itself isn't a great place.
Holyhead itself isn't a great place. Lots of empty and scruffy building in the town centre, although the harbour area out the other side is nice with the maritime museum. The only real highlight of the town centre are the remains of the Roman fort. The surrounding area including Treaddur Bay is much better for a visit. Still some updating to be done but bathroom was good. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, especially in trying to set up the tv in the restaurant so we could watch the Euros!
