Stayed there for one night. Excellent place to stay. Very friendly staff. Room clean and tidy. Real comfortable bed (I’m fussy with the sheets on the bed) these were excellent, I slept well. Restaurant for Dinner and breakfast, food and service were excellent. You would think you were in a Michelin Star restaurant!

When you have to take the ferry in Newcastle and are travelling from Scotland or the north in generalq, this is the perfect stop. A cosy hotel, with a very good cook in the kitchen (for breakfast as well as dinner), a comfortable room (in our case a spacious family room) and three splendid female hosts (sisters?) who divide the work and are all three kind, to the point, attentive but not tiresome overfriendly as in some other places. Just as it should be.

In a quiet nook in the Northumberland countryside, by a beautiful river. (I wish I'd brought my fishing gear!) Lovely room, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Struggling to find anything not to like!

Had a lovely night away in Alnwick with my partner. The hotel is above a local pub (which was great for watching the football with a few pints) and the rooms are newly refurbished. The owners and staff were all very lovely and welcoming. We stayed on a Saturday and had a great nights sleep.

The location was great and handy for cafes, restaurants and pubs. The room had a fridge which I appreciated and a great selection of teas and ground coffee along with biscuits and crisps. Nicola, the host, was friendly and helpful.

Spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Short walk into longframlington. The hosts were lovely and made it special with some extra touches. Really enjoyed and will definitely be back.

    Quiet, small, rural village; lots of walks via footpaths across fields, perfect for dog walkers. Loved the castle and plenty to explore in the church too. Fantastic views! Not far from Alnwick for dog friendly shops and eateries and handy for exploring the coastline, which is beautiful. 😊
