The staff were so welcoming and incredibly helpful. We only stayed for a night, but the staff went out their way to ensure we had everything we needed for our young children. The breakfast was great, and the staff were very accommodating in the dining area, too. Couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Also, the building was great - really old features and interesting historical items dotted around.

    We booked this house as we were attending an event in Colne.

    We booked this house as we were attending an event in Colne. The house was a very short trip down the road and the access was super easy. There's a lovely pub and a small general store within walking distance form the house. Parking for two vehicles and plenty of room inside for all of us.

    Cowling itself is disappointing but the local pub 'The Bay Horse' does excellent food. The local village store is well stocked. There's a wine bar and take away pizza place. Otherwise not much else.

    We liked the accommodation apart from uncomfortable beds...

    We liked the accommodation apart from uncomfortable beds noisy and squeaky. The lodges are too close to each other and the hosts husband and wife were kept disturbing us. No privacy. We had to wisper all the time.
