Chumleigh is a lovely village, and the locals were so friendly and welcoming. This is our second visit, and we will be returning in July for the summer fair. A map might suggest that Chulmleigh is a bit remote but it has a good road north and south. Whole area is surrounded by many friendly pubs serving good food at fair prices. Excellent Breakfast Selection . Slightly disappointed that at the Evening Meal the Menu was the same. My Wife loved the surrounding Garden. i was taken ill on our first night - My Wife asked for help-very quick response by members of the Staff including the Joint Owner and a former Nurse taking me to the nearest Hospital and where I had excellent treatment . Many members of the Staff asked how I was getting on during the balance of our Staff. They could not have been more helpful and friendly. We were the only guests staying at the time so we understood due to the struggle so many of our businesses are having across the country the expense implications of employing staff to serve only 2 guests.
