It’s one of the premiere ski resorts for a reason. Huge ski area, that never disappoints. We have skied Val for over 16yrs, and always find ourselves coming back. A few of the livelier places in town have disappeared over the last few years so it’s not quite the Apres ski town it used to be. But as we are getting older we don’t miss them as our days of being out all night are behind us. Massive resort with endless lifts and terrain. Only problem is getting there. What should be a 2.5 hour drive from Geneva took us 5 hours both ways. Next time we will consider the train, to avoid the single road that leads to so many resorts in that area.Guest review bySteveUnited States - 10.0

From working whole seasons in France and Switzerland Val D’isere definitely provides. The valley traps snow meaning it’s snow sure. The espace Killy has a great ski area for all levels although the ski area doesn’t offer a lot of ski in ski out and the only way from Tignes is either le face or le daille. The Residence is now owned by the next door Everest Hotel and is clearly being managed to a high level; Claire, the Resident Manager, was friendly and very helpful.
