Troyes is a beautiful example of a town packed full of half-timbered medieval houses everywhere you look. And so many churches and a beautiful cathedral. It's well worth a visit and specifically look out for the stained glass windows and we would recommend a visit to the Cite du Vitrail which is a fabulous museum about stained glass and apothecaries. Good location, within a short walk of the old centre of the city. Modern hotel with good sized rooms, especially the bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. Safe, underground parking is available as is on-site electric vehicle charging at a reasonable cost. What a wonderful and gracious host. The apartment is beautiful with wonderful art. We were cared for really well and it was just the stay we needed after a few days hotel hopping back up to Calais. Troyes is well worth the stop with great history and architecture as well as an exciting art scene. I wish we had, had time to stay longer. We shall next time.
