Saignon is a tiny village set into the side of a cliff...
Saignon is a tiny village set into the side of a cliff surrounded by what appears to be granite. Streets are largely cobbled for a village designed for and dedicated to foot traffic. This requires one to park your car in one of two free parking lots and to make your way to any destination on foot. We did however, drive to our B&B to unload suitcases before parking and the reverse occurred at the end of our stay. Within the village is a boulongerie, a cafe which sometimes has live music, a large outdoor terrace, a jeweller but few other commercial enterprises. The views are spectacular and the atmosphere calm and peaceful with the outdoor terrace frequented throughout the day. There is also an outstanding restaurant ‘Le Jardin sir La Toit’ (unsure of spelling).Guest review byKathleen

The room was finished to a high standard and everything worked - beautifully. Breakfast was great and served in a separate purpose built area snd there was a huge pool and sitting area. The restaurant we were recommended to go to - The Bistro de Coing - was close by and really excellent. The accommodation is in such a peaceful location but within easy walking distance (15 mins) to delightful Saignon. We used a car to do shopping and visit sites but we also did a pleasant walk (35 mins) to the amazing Apt Saturday market. Very good location in nature, 15 min by foot ro Saignon village (morning baguette available there).
