This is the place to stay if you are planning on biking in the mountains. Great opportunity to rent and buy everything you need to your cycle adventure. The village was very charming with cobbled streets and beautiful buildings. We ate at La Romanche three times during our stay and loved it. There was also a little cafe at the corner a couple doors away from La Romanche that had delicious crepes! We holidayed in Bourg d'Oisans because of its fame as being one of the most important areas in the Tour de France. It is literally at the foot of the iconic Alpe d'Huez, which anyone will know if they follow Cycle road racing. So there are lots of cyclists here, trying their luck at the many Tour de France climbs on offer, but it is also an attractive town in its own right, surrounded on every side by high mountains.
