Beautiful historic hotel which has been lovingly bought back to original with huge medieval fireplace in breakfast room, original ceiling beams and set in peaceful lush courtyard garden within walking distance to everything Chinon has to offer. Comfort, quiet, clean, lovely decoration and very nice staff (including a sweet dog). The amazing meal at the pizzeria was an added bonus. They even prepared a special pizza without gluten and lactose because one of our family members has food allergies. Highly recommend!!!!!!!

Maurice is a great host. He made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Our room (Claude) was a "suite". A large room with comfortable bed, sitting area, desk and wardrobe. The room led into a spacious bathroom with a claw foot tub and large shower. Breakfast was exceptional. A choice of eggs, quiche, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, juices and a wide assortment of baked goods. The coissants were delecious. The location of the property was ideal- easy access to restaurants, shops, the Fortress Royal (highly recommend) and the river. Chinon is a beautiful Medieval Town and was a highlight of our trip.
