The area we were in was under a lot of construction making it difficult to walk anywhere. When we did walk we were targeted by pickpockets. Luckily we were on to them and avoided any losses. Having been to Addis Ababa before I know there are a lot of great things to see in the city, this was a short business trip. The prices of items is too high i couldn't buy anything there. The hotels are also very expensive. Generally things there are expensive. Beautiful city, well lit and provides a sense of safety for all. The language barrier for a non amharic speaker is quite challenging, but definitely an excuse to learn a few words from a new language. The altitude is quite high so if you are from a coastal region, you might want to prepare for altitude sickness.
