The owner is very nice and very helpful. The apartment is looking like in the pictures or even better. Very comfortable and cozy, nicely decorated. A place to relax and unwind. I would definitely recommend a visit here. The apartment was spotless, very very clean

What a unique spot! The apartment and the terrace have stunning views on the Sierras Subbeticas and the picturesque village of Zuheros. Inside it's cosy, well furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. Eva was the perfect host, caring and always ready to help - she even reserved the e-bikes for us as our Spanish wasn't good enough to do this ourselves. The village might be small but it has a supermarket, pharmacy and a couple of restaurants as well as a great local produce like olive oil, cheese and wine. Can't recommend El Hechizo and Zuheros enough as a vacation spot - we'll be back :)

It was a lovely apartment and host super friendly. Only criticism is that it is more of an AirBNB stay. I had expected an apartment with a desk clerk. The property did have a desk in the foyer but it was not operating. For me using public transport. I need to be able to arrange for luggage storage. The host was as accommodating as possible but I had a few hours in town where I had no where to leave pack.

The apartment was spotless and spacious. The host was gorgeous. So kind and lovely. From first dealing with Juan and then the gorgeous Mati. Bottle of bubbles 🍾 and dog treats for our little Pepe the doggy. Beautiful house, everything needed is there. We stayed 1 week as we are moving to Luque (nearby town). WiFi excellent and the views of the castle were to die for. Especially at night and all lit up. I honestly couldn't recommend this accommodation any higher. Yes the cocks crowed and the dogs barked a tiny bit, but, idyllic none the less. You will not be disappointed if you visit here 😊

The location and views were stunning. The hotel decor was outstanding. Accommodation was perfect, spacious and quiet, the beautiful grounds were kept immaculate, as was the swimming pool, which we used during our stay.

Much of what I've already said about the property.

Much of what I've already said about the property. Zuheros is a little gem and well worth a visit. The area itself has a lot to offer and, although I've visited four times before, there's always something new to see and old to explore again. Limited places to eat but sufficient. A restaurant close to the castle and church as well as the hotel in town. A bakery and a little shop for basics too. Go to Luque and Alcaudete (if you like castles); Priego de Cordoba for an all round experience of Spain.

Zuheros is a delightful village, with great opportunities for walking BUT plan well in advance as maps, walking info. not available locally. The Zuheryos hotel and restaurant, local panaderia and supermarket provided all we needed

The hotel was central to the village and had “drop off”...

The hotel was central to the village and had “drop off” parking only because of the narrow streets though the village did have adequate parking elsewhere and a short walk away. Thats said, if you have difficulty walking or going up steep street roads this is not for you. To end, I would like to say a big thank you to all of the staff at the hotel-you were all so nice and helpful making our holiday with you totally memorable

Walking possibilities in the mountains along walking path,...

Walking possibilities in the mountains along walking path, but even then some are difficult, but certainly do able. Other possiblities are much easier, such as waling on a walkin/cycling road the used to be a trainline

The town is a little gem.

The town is a little gem. Very quiet (due to Covid and Christmas period too)but the walks and scenery are lovely. The setting of the town - the views over the "sea" of olives are spectacular.

This Rural Hotel set amongst olive groves close to Zuheros was like an oasis in the desert. within the walls, there was always somewhere shady and agreeable. In the evening, the balcony patio was a welcome place to have a drink and watch nightfall come.

Zuheros is an adorable idyllic village in the Spanish mountains and our apartment was just perfect with everything we needed. Our hosts at the hotel couldn't do enough for us, booking taxi's, hiring a car and also even purchasing a kettle for us.
