Pamplona is a beautiful old town but in can be done in a day . One or two nights is sufficient unless you have a car to be able to visit surroundings or you are there during the festival . However, hotel prices are likely to be sky high during the running of the bulls The Navarra museum was almost completely closed. Only a few rooms were open Excellent laundrettes in the town

Pamplona is a well kept secret - so much more to offer than evading the jeopardy of a stampeding bull run! The historic centre has all the charm and architectural interest you'd find in Italy or neighbouring France - with a food scene to match. We enjoyed the best pintxos of our trip of the Basque region in the cobbled streets of Pamplona at Bar Amatxo - even compared with the more 'gastronimic' San Sebastian. I don't think you could go too far wrong in any of the restaurants or bars, but the experience at Katuzarra was sublime - probably the finest beef flllet I've ever tasted.

    Old town was very lively.

Old town was very lively. Lots of shops and restaurants there. Lots to see in Pamplona. We walkrd around a bit and it was enjoyable. Many parks.Pamplona has a surprisingly tiny airport with limited taxis. Train station had no taxis.

Pamplona is a wonderful, vibrant city which we found to be far beyond our expectations. The beautiful buildings, wide boulevards, shopping areas, and the restaurants, tapas bars and general atmosphere in the old town, the young people (especially when seated and chatting in the streets, and the absolutely magnificent cathedral all make it a city we look forward to visiting again, and which we could recommend to any traveler.

We experienced a very friendly city with beautiful, old, narrow streets and a wide square in the centre. Lots of lovely places to eat and drink! Also interesting gift shops including one we visited three years ago. A useful supermarket nearby. Our appartment was well loctaed to access the centre but also on the edge of the raised old town with views out to local hilly, no mountainaous! countryside, We saw a gorgeous sunset up there. Also river park area ideal for exercise. The only thing we don't like is the bull fighting tradition- very cruel. I know this is part of the local culture, but not something we would like to see. However, Pamplona offers much more!

The room was very smelly and the sleeper couch did not have cushions. The bed mattress was so well used that you could not stay on the edge but kept rolling into the middle. we did not have enough toilet paper for 2 days for 4 people and we had to buy our own shower gel and hand soap as the one in the apartment had a very pungent smell. The location however was great. Very expensive stay for what we received compared to other hotels in Spain.

Loved the decor and interior, interesting location and really felt immersed in the old town of Pamplona! We got in late so didn’t explore much, but stayed again on the way back from our trip - couldn’t believe everything was on our doorstop! Staff very friendly, hotel so clean and great location.

Loved the location, right in the centre of the Old Town and lots of bars and restaurants out the front door. The staff very friendly and rooms spacious. Breakfast had a great selection. Having spa facilities in the hotel is a bonus. This hotel didn’t disappoint. We had a wonderful 3 nights here.
