The people there are very descent and the staff are humble and nice. The reception members were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and and the housekeeping staff was super. We were lucky to receive an upgrade to a room with wonderful sea & lagoon view. Rooms are very spacious with plenty of storage, large TV and a super balcony. Ours had a view over the amazing private beach that surrounds the Palace hotel, over the entrance to the lagoon and all the ship entering and the desert on the other side. Unforgettable panorama at dawn (05.30h in April) and technicolor sunsets :-). Totally quiet at night. Super attentive room service; waterbottles and fruit. - The garden with the numerous large palm trees, its large lawns and its sea of flowers is meticulously kept. Fresh towels are provided daily for the pool and the beach. The very long pontoon offers fantastic views for everybody. Snorkeling is possible from there or on a large portion of the beach. Colourful fish everywhere. Highly recommended scuba diving center is right near the Palace Pickalbatros with lessons and excursions. - We loved the food, especially the egyptian and the indian dishes. We started our days with omelettes, pancakes freshly made for breakfast, incredible goyavas fresh and pressed. -The entrance to the Palace Pickalbatros hotel is truly majestic, as is the large lobby and the bar with its terrace overlooking the artificial lagoon of the neighboring hotel . - All staff in the amazing Palace Pickalbatros hotel are very well trained and respectful. They work really hard to make guests feel at home and pampered. A big thanks and congratulations to the manager, Mr Mina for the amazing job.

First of all, this is not a luxury hotel. If you are looking for luxury, do not choose this hotel. on the other hand, it is a hotel with a pleasant, relaxed family atmosphere. The food selection is not very wide, but every day there is chicken, fish, beef, roasted vegetables, salads. It is particularly delicious. Everyone can find something suitable for themselves. There is always a free table and the waiters are very attentive. The beach is actually a 5-minute walk away, but the small bus also runs for those who don't want to walk. The water taxi to the Marina is a fantastic idea, we really enjoyed it, and it takes a maximum of 5 minutes. The "captain" is also a very nice person. A very cozy little hotel, constantly being renovated and expanded, I highly recommend it to those who want a quiet rest. The cleanliness is also fine, the rooms are cleaned every day, we always got something surprising. There is only 2 bottles of water in the minibar, if you want to drink, for example, cola, fanta... it costs extra and can be ordered from the bar. If we come back to this area, we will definitely come back to this hotel. we loved it very much.

    Some places offer excellent takeaway food. There is a public beach a little further away (a short walk across a small desert area) with exceptional underwater flora and fauna. Bring shoes for walking in the water. Please stay above or near the coral (personally, I didn't know there were risks to swimming too far from the reefs, namely sharks. But I didn't see any. On the other hand, there were some exceptional fish! Port Ghalib is a tourist spot but much, much quieter than Hurghada. If someone tries to sell you something, just say ‘La, chokram’ with a smile and everything will be fine. Don't forget to tip a little, as Egyptians earn very little (around €400 per month for a family of four). For activities, I recommend Royal Sea Tours (royalsea-tours.com), who are really great.     Nice place to stay for one week if the weather is OK.

    Nice place to stay for one week if the weather is OK. Very good place for snorkeling or you can watch coral reef directly in the harbor without being wet. Just bring slice of bead and you will see a lot.

    We were in Casa Mare Resort super happy.

    We were in Casa Mare Resort super happy. We came with our 3 years old daughter so we really appreciate that they have 3 very warm pools. 2 of them are huge and with a bar in it and the third very warm pool is safe for small kids who can't swim yet. Also Casa Mare has a big playground in the shade for kids. Aleso few hours per day is open Kids club with a really nice girl from the animation team. All of them are doing a very good job. Always trying to cheer you up all day long with animation programs. We came without a traveling agency and we haven't any agent, so  people in recepcion were always helpful and nice. You can easily ask them about everything through WhatsApp. Food was amazing. Chefs are doing a great job. Choice of food was huge and delicious. Casa Mare has a lagoon with shallow clear water, hot in summer  and also bridge to reef. Reef is big and rich in many kinds of fish. You don't need to pay any trips to snorkeling, it's right there. Place is also very good for kite surfing in winter. I was surprised how big our room was and we had a view on the pool and sea. I loved that. We always had the same man for cleaning. Every day he made our room super clean and tidy and when we met him in the hall it was always fun with him. Our daughter loved him, because every day he made for her animals from towels. We are definitely coming back. This place where our 4th hotel in Egypt and Casa Mare Resort was best from tham. Thank you all personal for a wonderful holiday.

We will choose the same for the next visit.special thanks to the housekeeping Karam Ibrahim & Lookout bar Mustafa, Mohamad, Ahmed,Mohamed All Team ,special thanks to the Concierge team Moamen , Amr , and special thanks to Kitchen Souq Al Hana team head chaf Haithem , assistant head shift & food quality chef Mohammad chaf Ahmed (AL FATIR ) waiter Mustafa , Every morning I enjoyed the Lagoon with fresh sea water at my favourite side front of Lookout bar my location left hand side (spa side ) , and sorry I forgot the name of lifeguard in this location thanks to him , Big Thanks to Mohamed he is very good friendly and smiling boy at Lagoon Bar thanks Saddam from reception team.thanks to all team & management. thank you

    Port Ghalib was a small port town that has transformed into a touristic place. Not much to see, a nice marina and a small promenade. Famous restaurant/club "Hakuna Matata", led by Polish owners, attended by known artists and bands - worth coming by. Few cafeterias and souvenir shops and that's all.

    after dinner is nice to take a walk to the port and stop to drink at the bars. enjoy the nice climate and and listen music. visit the many shops along the inner streets. where you can find parfums souvenirs of every kinds. all people you meet are sociable but non intrusive, the walk is always pleasantly interrupted by these stops in which the various products are offered in a kind way.

    The hotel is very nice, with large, clean rooms. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast was spectacular. The reef directly at the beach offers a great spot for snorkeling, you can see all kinds of marine life in the first 3m from the beach. That was awesome. All in all, I can recommend this place.
