    Ry is a great base for hiking on the trail from Aarhus to Silkeborg. There are numerous trails on both sides of the lake and they are incredibly picturesque. I recommend going in the shoulder season when the weather is cooler and there are less people. Also try and time a trip with the secondhand market that is in the carpark of the supermarket. Lots of great finds and bargains.

    The staff were very warm, and seemed happy to be working there. The hotel was a contrast in that it was inexpensive for Denmark, and fairly basic though perfectly comfortable, and there was a lovely view over the hills at the back, with a private patio. However the breakfast, included in the price, was incredible. This is a review of the hotel, but we ate at the restaurant in the evening we were there too, and that is an absolute gem. If you don't stay here, you should at least eat here.

    Location was fantastic — close to everything you might need and perfect for exploring the area. The guesthouse was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere felt welcoming and peaceful, making it easy to relax after a day out. Overall, a great place that offers both convenience and comfort.

    Lovely family, very friendly, the house is perfect for a family stay! Lots, and, lots of toys for the kids to play with, and, very friendly animals! The location also is very good, very calm city, felt very safe, with some bigger stores near-by, and, close enough to Billund (Legoland), and, Aarhus, easy to travel to these cities.
