The hotel exceeded our expectations - while the common space was a bit "older", the room was freshly rennovated, spacious and cosy. The balcony was convenient and the breakfast was very nice. The staff were friendly and radiated the "family feeling". Would love to return one day.

The hotel was very well-maintained and perfect for business needs. The meeting rooms were professional and fully equipped. The WiFi was fast and stable, which made it easy to work and attend meetings online. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful.     Hotel Grünwald is well located in a relatively quiet area. There is good access to downtown Munich via the tram. Note however that the tracks for the tram area being replaced so there is bus service that will get you to the nearest U-Bahn station. Also, in the vicinity there are grocery stores and some very good restaurants!

    Surrounded with beautiful forests and very near to the river Isar, ideal to combine work with leisure in a short period of time. This part of the city, especially gives a taste of the bavarian way of life.

    Hotel is in quiet outskirts of Munich on the edge of the Isar Valley. It is at the end of the tram line which runs into Munich. It is about 3 minutes to walk to the tram, further at the other end but by the river and in a nice part of Munich. (We could even swim in the river). The hotel itself is part of an old castle. Eggs were prepared fresh at breakfast. We were travelling with our son who had an adjacent and closely integrated room which was perfect.

    We stayed overnight on our way to Slovenia and this hotel was perfect for this. The breakfast was truly amazing, with lots of vegetarian and vegan options (including a variety of plant-based dairy options, both for cereals and for coffees). Really outstanding! The room was rather basic but clean and comfortable.

    The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We so appreciated their efforts to line up transportation for us. The hotel location was ideal for our Munich stay with many dining and shopping options nearby. Be sure to check out the Leoli restaurant attached to the hotel.

    The girl at reception was very nice and helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Regarding the location of the hotel, even if it is in the outskirts of Munich, it is in the middle of a forest and that makes it very calm and nice.
