We did a tour to the cheesemaking farm Herencia, high up on the slope of the volcano. Getting there via Google maps was a bit tedious but on the way back we got better directions - via Santa Cruz and Torito. The tour is a great experience! On the way back we visited the national monument at Guayabo. We also tried to reach the Aquiares waterfall, but this is a bit difficult to find and we did not get there in time, had to turn back. The last stretch is climbing over big boulders along the riverbed.Guest review byStegeman

We felt like we were at home. The place is charline, the view from the Lodge marvelous. You have a panoramic view on Turrialba and irazu volcanos. The lodge is simply confortable, the dinner very good served in a common room. The breakfast is continental, according to travelers choice whose doesn't want to eat rice one more Time!
