I had a great stay at Margarita Sierpe. The room was beautiful and cozy, with a very comfortable bed. The kitchen had everything I needed, and the location was peaceful and close to the river – perfect for relaxing. The host was friendly and easy to communicate with. I really enjoyed my time there and would definitely recommend it.

The house is directly in the jungle with a wonderful view on the Sierpe forest. When the sky is clear it’s possible to see the Pacific. The House has everything you need to cook at home. Be aware that the place is accessible only by car and you need to take a boot, therefore it is suggested to organise your grocery before (in Palmar Norte where there is also the last available ATM). In case you would like to have an amazing dinner, Simone can prepare dinner for you. Simone organised for us a very nice tour in the Mangrove systems which was really worth it as we saw many wild fauna!

Breakfast was good. Great to have the pool. This is a great place to stay for going to or returning from Drakes Bay. The owner kindly took us to the ferry for no additional cost.

Our stay at this apartment was absolutely wonderful! The place was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and perfectly equipped with all the amenities we needed. The location was ideal, conveniently close to the ferry dock. Can't say enough about Anouk and Kevin's hospitality. Sabalo Lodge is off the beaten path but this is what we were looking for. After spending several days in La Fortuna and then Monteverde, our arrival to Sabalo Lodge felt like we had finally arrived to the Costa Rica we had come to experience. The food Kevin prepared for us was out of this world. No exaggeration! The large cabin we stayed in was very nice and spacious, beds very comfortable and a great porch to sit and relax or swing in the hammock. The grounds are very beautiful and we enjoyed the natural swimming pool each day we were there. Kevin arranged and took care of all the booking for our tours which were close by and didn't involve a whole lot of extra travel time in between. Free access to the kayaks was a bonus!! LOTS to explore close by. My son who is 9 had a fantastic time!

Wow... Staying at La Muñequita Lodge is so much more than just somewhere to sleep. It´s like entering a new, exciting, relaxing, friendly world - with a lot of animals, exotic trees and flowers. The hosts are superfriendly and helpful. The house was spectacular. Basic in one way, but exclusive in another. One detail is that I really loved the wooden floor. So soft for your bare feet. Delicious breakfast and dinner. It was very interesting to hear the hosts history of how they ended up here, and take part of their future plans for their small business. We could safely park our rental car here while we spent three days in Drake Bay. It felt much better than park it by the harbour. The hosts really have big hearts and you leave with a better belief for the humanity. I can strongly recommend to stay here. I will be jealous of everyone of you that will.
