Amazing facilities. Be warned the location is a bit remote and the roads to get here are difficult to traverse but once you’re here you won’t regret it. Our recent stay at this resort was nothing short of perfect. We spent 8 days here, and it was the first time all year I truly relaxed – I even slept a full 12 hours! This place is ideal for unwinding and recharging after a long stretch of hard work. The thermal pools, natural sauna, and cosmetic mud treatments made me feel as though I’d taken a trip to paradise; I left feeling rejuvenated and, honestly, about 10 years younger! My daughter loved the experience as well. She got to see so many beautiful birds, a real volcano, and a lush, green botanical garden. The entire staff, especially the team at reception, was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcomed every step of the way. We’ll definitely be back. And to anyone concerned about the road, consider it a bonus adventure! It’s like a free jungle excursion with glimpses into local life – from domestic restaurants to schools and family homes. This is hands down the best resort we’ve ever visited. Thank you for the amazing experience!

very nice and pure was lovely

I am unsure why this lodge has a 2-star rating on Booking; it should have at least 4 stars. Here's why: 1. The location: It is spectacular; you don't see anything else but mountains and hills surrounding this lodge. Rincon de la Vieja National Park is in its backyard, providing several activities to do either independently or with a tour guide. We opted for guided tours offered by the Rinconcito Lodge (note that not all tour guides speak English). We took the horseback ride tour, starting at the Rinconcito. We rode for 45 minutes to the Santa Maria Rangers Station (entrance fee not included in the tour price). After leaving the horses at the Ranger station, we walked to the hot springs, the Morpho Waterfall, and the enchanted forest. I also highly recommend the canopy/zipline tour; we did 7 lines of canopy, and the views from the largest lines were breathtaking. The entire experience was amazing! 2. The room: The bed was comfortable, and the room (we had the mountain view room) was exactly as described in the Booking listing, with a mini fridge and AC which we did not need to use because the temp in that room was perfect. There were no surprises, except for the fact that we were amazed by how beautiful the room and the views were in real life. Waking up every morning to the sounds of colibris and other birds was simply amazing! 3. Public areas: All public areas are well-maintained and clean. We spent hours in the hammocks by the pool, and the pool itself was clean and well-kept. We absolutely loved it. 4. The restaurant: It was fantastic, albeit a bit pricey. The food was well worth it! Breakfast was included so that was a huge plus. Their drinks and desserts were fantastic too. We had the best food in Costa Rica at the Rinconcito Lodge. 5. The staff: They truly have a fantastic staff who care about their guests having a great time. We felt so welcomed, as if we were family :)

Spacious, clean rooms. Beautiful grounds that were well-maintained. Friendly staff. Amazing breakfast. Great value. Ideal location for trail walking, swimming and national park entry.

The house Is not in the city center and this Is a big plus: only 15min diving far from the Parco Rincon de la Vieja. The whole structure Is new, and staff takes care of It every day. The room Is nice with great air conditioning which helps at night, even if we spent the whole evening on the pool. Plus, there are beautiful horses (Pandora and Benu) and an Amazing dog (Ben) to cuddle!

We absolutely loved this accommodation! Lovely house in a big green yard with outdoors kitchenette, beautiful for a nice breakfast in the morning. The hosts are so welcoming and really made sure we had everything.
