We arrived in Beijing a little after midnight and asked for an early check-in, which was granted to us with an adequate surcharge. So, technically we were 4 nights in this hotel. The receptionist was very kind and patient with us. The rooms are very nice and tidy, and they are cleaned daily. The food at breakfast is varied, well prepared, and very tasty. The overall impression is very satisfactory.

The accommodation was in a great location. The room was comfortable, clean, and very well-equipped. I really appreciated that we couldn't hear any noise from the busy, noisy street, making it a perfect place to rest. I would also like to thank Suzie, the receptionist, for her exceptional kindness and helpfulness when we needed to arrange a taxi to the airport. She accompanied us and discussed the details with the driver.

This is the quintessential place to stay in Beijing if you want to experience a beautiful blend of art, culture, nature and history. Jocelyn and her team of dedicated staff were constantly on hand to answer all of our questions, they were so helpful, gave us loads of useful advice and assistance with any technical issues with accessing the local facilities via Alipay and WeChat. We went to Badaling Great Wall so easily for a day trip by taking the subway to Beijing Bei (North) station (Xizhimen subway station on Line 2, Line 4 and Line 13) and bought high speed railway tickets to visit at short notice and at a very cheap price. We would highly recommend getting a private bus trip via Trip.com to Jinshanling (Great Wall) which is about 2 hours outside Beijing by getting the subway to Dongximen subway station. This was the highlight of our stay, much quieter than Badaling, cheaper cable car and vast parts of the wall to explore if you have the energy and time. Beijing Shadow Art Performance Courtyard is a must stay, nestled within one of the many historic Hudongs of downtown Beijing. You will not be disappointed and only left wanting to explore this amazing country/city more.
