    A very unique place to be. A must visit place.

    A very unique place to be. A must visit place. We loved it even though we can’t read Chinese and speak a little only. We enjoyed our very short time there. Even in the rain it was great fun. Wear waterproof trainers when it’s rainy season as your feet will get wet and it can be slippery with the wrong footwear.

    The view of the river is so majestic, both during the day...

    The view of the river is so majestic, both during the day and the night! For women, the traditional attire rental is something everyone should try. The booking for Hanfu and Mao clothing are not available online though, but its everywhere once you are in the town.

    Fenghuang is really nice.

    Fenghuang is really nice. We've traveled a lot around China and people have been very friendly. One aspect of Fenghuang that we like was that it doesn't seem to get many western tourists nor has it changed to accommodate them --- for the better. The tourist maps tend to be in Chinese (only) which works but travelers should try to have some level of awareness of what to see and do --- that said, it's really nice just wandering the streets and alley ways without much of a plan.

    If you want to be part of the show, this is the hotel to go to! From the balcony you have THE best view and it’s an easy walk through town from here. I would recommend arriving late in the afternoon and staying only one night. The room is very basic and in need of renovation. Owner is kind and helpful, let him know when you arrive so he can look out for you in the alley (entrance is through a ‘dress up clothes shop’ and there are many of them. We had the best time on our balcony with the beers we bought at the shop close to the hotel.

    The hotel was very easy to find with Veronica's instructions. The river and all main spots were in walking distance. The neighborhood was also full of nice restaurants. The check-in process was easy and the staff was very helpful. Veronica helped to book a car to pick us up from the airport and we got early check-in. We also got a map with detailed information about the things to do in Fenghuang.The night musical show is highly recommended! The room was very clean. The beds were soft and comfortable. Great value for money!

    It was the most beautiful city in China out of 5 we visited. The owner is very helpful, attentive, organized evening Theatre with the fireworks… it was a dream and felt really magical. Fantastic location from all attractions. Very beautiful room with traditional interior and river view. Can’t recommend enough!
