This hotel is a gem. It was a last minute booking, we booked it 30 mins before we arrived. The room was cottage-style and the view was breath-taking. The hotel is located uphill, which makes the view even better. The neighbourhood is quiet and you can hike nearby (they give you hiking maps). There's a beautiful river nearby.

The view is amazing, although your car has to work for it😁 The beds are super comfortable, the house is spacious and clean. Kitchen has a lot of utensils and cooking necessities (like salt, pepper, oil, kitchen towels), but also a coffee maker. Overall the house feels very friendly, clean and accessible to guests, I definitely recommend :) Also, the person managing the booking is very accommodating and kind.

The breakfast was stunning. Made to order omelettes, fresh juices, fresh meats and local products. I am generally a solo woman traveler, aged 45. This time to Europe, I brought my husband and three children. On a whim from a previous pit stop on the Glacier Express I booked a one night stay in Brig, at the Hotel De Londres. From booking to check-in, to the arranging of tickets to Brigerbad, Monika was amazing. Switzerland makes America look like a joke- which is why on my fourth visit to Switzerland in the last four years I wanted my family to see it's amazing people (like Monika and staff), scenery, hotel opportunities (like De Londres), and overall goal of life to be self-fulfilled by simply........breathing the air around. Although we visited Zurich, Lucerne, Bern, Milan and Venice besides Brig, guess where the rest of my family wanted to stay just a few more nights than ANYWHERE else- Hotel De Londres in Brig. Bravo! Everything was excellent. We appreciated our vacation by deciding to stay at the hotel for another 2 nights. The hotel allowed us to stay in the same room at no extra charge. The hotel is right in the middle of town. Clean, small, cozy. There is a restaurant, we had dinner, we liked everything we chose.

    It's an oldschool hotel, but very clean and comfy. Breakfast is a selection of breads, pastries and cold cuts. It's absolutely central - gondola is in the same building and train station is just on the opposite side of the street. Staff was really nice and helpful.

    The staff is aware the hotel is a bit outdated, but they try to make the most of it. The room was well-prepared and clean. The hotel is next to train station, so it is a good choice if you are travelling by train.
