Completely renovated in 2017, the modern Hotel Bellinzona Sud is located in Monte Carasso, right off the A2 highway.

Great hotel and facilities. Fabulous staff, helpful and attentive. Room price includes a basic breakfast and access to free coffee, tea, fruit or snack. While slightly out of town, the hotel pays half the taxi fare which we found was a good option for us when arriving from and leaving for the station with much luggage. They also informed us of the free bus pass for tourists which they organised for us but we found the 30 minute walk into town very pleasant. Great views of the mountains and castles from the rooms. Having stayed at other hotels in Bellinzona in the past, this will now become our go to hotel for future visits.

The rooms are very spacious, the lounge area is fantastic, staff are lovely and the accommodated me for vegan options for dinner. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It's absolutely beautiful

Staff was fantastic. Attentive, knowledgeable, just lovely people. The food in the restaurant is exquisite. Can be a bit on the pricy side, but if able, a night here for dinner is well worth it!

Excellent - new modern hotel, with excellent soundproofing! What is important is that there is a kitchen with all the accessories - which is important for those traveling with children! Everything is thought out in the room - a refrigerator, oven, microwave, etc.! We had a great rest and went for a drive to beautiful places

Fabulous view of the castle and the mountains from our room and balcony, such a comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning, lift, breakfast, parking on the street in front of the hotel which was inexpensive, friendly, helpful staff and a decent restaurant. Wonderful combination.

    Strategic location if traveling by car from or to Italy (and Côte d'Azur) Hotel has good parking places (including EV cars load facility) and is in a quiet location. Rooms are clean and have good beds, TV, Wifi and shower facilities In a 2 minutes walk you can visit the nearby Marche for drinks, breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will get 20% discount by showing your check in card from the hotel Note: the hotel also serves a simple but ok breakfast (croissants, orange jus, coffee/tea)

    Irene was excellent at checking us in and explaining everything. However, you need to walk to Le Marchè in order to have some kind of breakfast. As a stopover hotel, the whole point of stopping on the side of motorway is so you have a quick breakfast and you’re on your way to drive to your destination. The whole breakfast thing set us back 90 minutes. Pricey for what they provide and outdated bathroom. Other than that, it was ok.

    Spacious room with adequate bathroom. Very nice touches like the coffee/tea/water facilities and snacks provided. Perfect walks right on hand for us and the dog to the sound of cow-bells. Good restaurant 50 yards away with discounted prices for hotel guests which we used for the evening meal and was good value.We did not take breakfast so cannot comment

    It was a very clean and comfortable hotel within easy distance of the motorway. The staff were delightful - so helpful. Breakfast was ok and we enjoyed the free access to coffee etc. The car park was ample and within easy reach. The nearby restaurant was superb!

    A pleasant surprise as we did not expect to much seeing the hotel was by the road, but it was great. Even quite considering it was close to main road. Free coffee and tea. Clean modern rooms. Helpful staff and a great view too. Parking straight outside big bonus
