The location is absolutely stunning with beautiful lake and mountain views. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. Excellent location in mid town Lugano, just a short trip via funicular from the train station. Lots of good restaurants close by and only a short walk to the lake. We were spoilt for choice with their delicious breakfast spread. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The situation of the hotel away from the hussel and bussel of the world, made the stay at the hotel special. The rooms were decorated with a good mix of old world and modern. The garden area was also a good area to relax. The hotel also has a lounge area, which means that you are not resrichted to your room.

    Not a massive amount to do in Melide itself, but there a few...

    Not a massive amount to do in Melide itself, but there a few nice little restaurants and a Miniature Model Village for the kiddies. A short bus ride/ train ride from Laguna and accommodation seemed much cheaper. We ate in the hotel restaurant, which was borderline fine dining, so food was amazing but a little expensive; presecco, a bottle of medium priced wine and two medium priced secondi meals cane to about €170 plus tip. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade, staying in a wonderful apartment with Hammam and kitchenette; always nice to get an upgrade, so many thanks again 😁
