The room was large, clean, and quiet. The whole atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxing - there was a feeling of luxury without being ostentatious about it. The shower/bathroom area was separate from the sleeping/living area without intruding one one another. The furniture is comfortable and just the right size and amount for the place. The breakfast bento is original and perfectly composed. The whole thing is simple and delightful. I would be over the moon to have a chance to stay there again.

From the moment you walk in, it’s clear that every element has been curated with care to create a space that’s both functional and serene. The kitchen was perfectly appointed—sharp knives not in a knife block (a rarity in rentals!), an induction cooktop, and not a hint of clutter. It was stocked with exactly what you need. The thoughtful touches extended far beyond the kitchen. A wall-mounted case held outdoor towels, perfectly positioned for convenience. There was even a foot wash at the entrance to the hot tub—a detail that elevated the experience and kept everything tidy. Beautifully scented soaps and the serene view were nothing short of breathtaking. This rental isn’t just a place to stay and make do. The combination of intentional design, thoughtful details, and a stunning natural setting makes it a true retreat. I can’t wait to return.

    So many places we didn’t get to see so a longer stay would...

    So many places we didn’t get to see so a longer stay would have been awesome. I would recommend this trip to anyone. More so in the off season if possible as it was a bit difficult to get into a couple restaurants due to high volume & they don’t take reservations unfortunately. We ate at a floating restaurant called Floathouse Restaurant which was amazing!

    The town is quaint and a bit sleepy at this time of year (after Labour Day) but the natural surroundings are stunning and exceed expectations. The beaches we saw and the trails we hiked were magnificent. A few restaurants were not open for dinner at this time of year so a bit challenging to eat at times but there’s a co-op in town (grocery store) and a pizza place which was excellent. Easy to navigate in the town; driving distance to Tofino also.

    Ucluelet is a beautiful town on the Pacific Ocean on Vancouver Island. There are beaches close by (the water is pretty cold, though) and many places to hike. We found that Ucluelet is much less touristy than Tofino. So if you like the touristy stuff, Tofino may be a better place for you. The whole area is surrounded by natural beauty.

    Great wilderness areas and plenty of walking trails to do, the wild pacific and lighthouse loop is recommended. Lots of eating options and the Uccy brewery was excellent. A very rugged / dramatic coastline.

    Ucluelet if a fine example of a small fishing town that has reinvented itself over a number of years. There is a very young vibe there due to young families moving in and outdoor sports like surfing being the main attractions for same.

    Our hotel was within walking distance of the town centre.

    Our hotel was within walking distance of the town centre. We ate at the hotel and the hotel pub and at an excellent local restaurant called Frankie's. It is easy to walk and drive around the village. Activities include touring of Pacific Rim National Park, hiking, surfing, and many other activities. It is a great area for people of all ages who are active and like the outdoors.

    Location! Location! as they say. Perfectly quiet at night, not too much hassle of a day time, this hotel is exactly what I was looking for to spend a few days away from the city and ride a bike on the new trail from Ucluelet to Tofino. Great trail, almost finished exept some 900 m by the intersection. Our room had a nice view over the small craft harbor which is an entertainment by itself. Kitchen was well equipped and living room was spacious and clean. Free parking next to you suite is a great bonus here.

    The owners (Teo and George) are incredible hosts. They go above and beyond what a typical chain hotel/motel provides and it makes one feel at home. Good location. The bed is incredibly comfy and the room has everything a person or family would need. If we ever go to Ucluelet again, this is the place we would want to stay at !!! Bravo - good to see the smaller operators in the accommodation business outperform the bigger chains.

    Overall great standard on everything from bed to bathroom with a nice design of the room. Sauna included witch looks out over peaceful nature. I saw wild bears twice during my 2 night stay.
