The city seemed clean and safe. There are many familiar box stores and it had a Swiss Chalet which we enjoy. The landscape is picturesque. Kakabak Falls is half an hour away and we went there. Thunder Bay is a lovely place.
Thunder Bay is a lovely place. We liked the waterfront area, Sleeping Giant Park, Thunder Mountain and for food we liked Anchor and Ore, Lot 66 and Sweet North Bakery. We highly recommend Thunder Bay for a weekend jaunt and visit.Guest review byLeahUnited States - 2.0

Ugh, Thunder Bay, Ontario, is seriously a letdown. I went there once and it was just so boring; there's nothing to do! The weather was gloomy and the scenery was pretty depressing, to be honest. Thunder Bay is very beautiful for nature lovers and people who love great scenery. Very multi cultural and the people are friendly and accommodating. Most all the stores found in Toronto are there. If you want a great burger try Burger Barn. Not top mich to do on a Sunday evening around town but when the Art Gallery opens up as well as Costco coming to town the variety will increase.Guest review byWalker - 10.0
We had a nice visit!
We had a nice visit! Although the parking is a little weird at the hotel, but we were fine. Also since our visit was during Summer, the AC was not enough for the whole place. However, we were gone most of the day, so we survived! We will definitely come back at Sleeping giant BNB for accommodation. Kalabeka Falls and Fort William Historical Park are a few of our favorites! Also the Thunder Bay Lookout at Sleeping Giant Natl Park. :) Mount McKay is also a nice place yo visit! :)Guest review byIresUnited States

Would of loved a bathing chair and a hose shower but it was as comfortable as home as I just had a knee replacement that morning bed was comfortable everything was great nice and quiet parking at room door no stairs we will be using this motel again for my other knees replacement thanks Kingsway for being so accommodatingGuest review byLorieCanada
