Regent Select Hotel is a very well designed, well managed, centrally located Hotel. Our stay here was ever so pleasant, generous sized room with a comfortable bed, lovely shower with great water pressure. Well equipped gym, very clean swimming pool surrounded by lush gardens, the landscaping at this hotel is very soothing. Our room included breakfast, the variety was great. The coffee served here is highly recommended! Evening meals at the restaurant were delicious. The reception, restaurant and housekeeping team were always friendly and very approachable.     As an American expat living in South Africa, I must say that Gabarone is like a chill, laid back Johannesburg. The city itself is so modern as far as infrastructure. The people were just as friendly as South Africans. I feel like it idea for a middle-age to older person seeking a city experience that still feels relaxed and safe. It's a capital city with a small town vibe. Secure your transportation ahead of time if you are not driving because there is no Uber or Bolt.

    The people are friendly and lots of activities.

    The people are friendly and lots of activities. The food was good however things are a bit pricey. I was with my friends, we enjoyed the different malls. We also went to Thapong and Park27 for different lifestyles and music genres. However at some areas of Gaborone there were very huge potholes,but easy to get around as we used our own vehicle. But we had a good time because we made friends and family.

    Safe and clean town with friendly people.

    Safe and clean town with friendly people. It's rare to find a place with less crime nowadays. The cleanliness exceeded my expectations for the entire town. Willingness to help stranger from the citizens was overwhelming.

    I was just passing through and it was good for my purpose but the Government has to work on roads, especially the road to Francistown. It had potholes which can be dangerous especially at night. And the lines separating the lanes, hardly visible

    Very clean. Friendly. Safe. An easy landing in Africa, where there can be challenges in some places. Clearly, Botswana has set priorities - and followed through - in allocating resources for public benefit...education, health, and shared infrastructure. A testament to what is possible.

    One of the cleanest cities I have visited.

    One of the cleanest cities I have visited. Although the business centre of Botswana, there are plenty of things to do, from shopping, sightseeing, game reserves, etc. The night life is quite busy, and if you want to go out, even by yourself, it is exceptionally safe, and you will soon make new friends. Using taxis (InDrive) is just a breeze and you will find a driver in no time, so you do not even need your own transport. If you need help, just ask around and the friendly people of Botswana will be very eager to help you.

    * Located close to everything in Gaborone * No problems with aircon / internet / power / water * the house is clean and modern * beautiful curtains * the air diffuser thing in the lounge has a great citrus scent * the supplies cupboard with extra toilet paper and good games is wonderful * lovely cupboard space in the master bedroom (but the linen might do well to be on labelled shelves) * the washing up liquid in the kitchen was very useful * having a USB charging port next to the master bed was great
