A stunning town with a beautiful square that you can get a drink and something to eat with plenty of bars and restaurants. There are places to explore in the town but it is also a good base for Dunkirk and Ostend. We only stayed 3 nights but we went to visit The Atlantic wall at Raversyde, well worth a visit and we also visited Dunkirk Cemetery and Dunkirk beach. Small walkable town. Quieter than the coastal towns in the summer months. Two interesting churches in town. Good train and bus connexions to the coast and interior of Belgium. A large number of rather expensive restaurants around the main square Grote Markt in the centre. An interesting and attractive town with many of the historic buildings still standing. An excellent tourist office with a most interesting museum about life in Veurne during WW!. Good restaurants and plenty of them. Good access to the coast. Pleasant rural countryside round about. The spacious living and kitchen are, in combination with wall surrounded garden, enables everyone to have enough private space during the visit. The kitchen is very well equipped. Very short to the city center of Veurne allowing easy shopping (bakery/buchter), and the next door warehouse is really convenient during your stay.
