It is great to see all the new buildings- the architecture is amazing. It is also easy to get around the city walking or using the metro. There are also a number of sights within a short bus tour of the city which are worth taking i.e. mud volcanoes, candy mountain, fire mountain

The city is really beautiful and easy to get around.

The city is really beautiful and easy to get around. I found walking by the sea side incredibly relaxing. I particularly enjoyed the botanic garden and my day trip to Gobustan. I tried to eat at the local restaurants and really liked Firuze and Dolma. I'd highly recommend the düşbere which is a dumpling soup. And overall it was a very nice trip for a few days :)e

If you are planning for good trip to Baku , plan couple of days in Baku city to go around Old city town , and go to mountaineous regions as City doesnt have much to give . the city traffic is horrible and it takes min 30-40 mins for a distance of 5 kms. Bolt app is good to go around . Food delivery apps like BOLT food, Wolt are all helpful. My experience in the city was not great as i had to find some hospital for an emergency for my kid and none of the hospitals i went to accepted travel insurance and had to pay lot of money for consultation specially if you want English speaking doctors . Language is a big constraint as most dont speak english.

Baku citizens although they don't speak English are willing to help you. Impresive buildings. Huge roads. Extemely clean city. Crowded during F1 race. Very beautiful coastal park. Luxurious city details. Relatively cheap destination. Value for money

Baku is a nice and quiet city. Clean and beautiful. Food was great. It’s a nice place for three days. It was easy to get around. Outside city excursions should be planned. Mud volcano at Gobustan is overrated. They need to work more on tourist attractions.

Baku is a city of contrasts.

Baku is a city of contrasts. It is fast growing and there are loads of modern facilities but also on the edges still lots of areas of Soviet mass housing. The roads in the central area are very busy and even more so during my visit as they were preparing for the F1 Grand Prix. It is worth using the metro to get around the central area and it doesn’t take long to realise that trains basically run along a corridor before going out to the various residential areas.

This is the best hotel for its price in Baku. The rooms are much larger than what I expected, it feels like living in a castle. The place is kept exceptionally clean, and the host is nice. There are kitchen, tea, drinking water, and washing machine provided. The location is great too, there are affordable coffee shops on the same street, and Bravo market just behind, and the Old City and Icerisheher metro station just 5 minutes walk from it, Fountain square is also just down the street. Incredible location.

Rest Studios is a great place to stay in Baku Old Town. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and no request was too big, they were all so friendly and welcoming. The roads near the old city were closed for the Formula One, and the staff volunteered to meet us from our taxi a 10 minute walk away so we could find the hotel easily. The beds are on the hard side, but if you’re looking for a practical, safe and easy stay in Baku - this is it!

“I recently stayed at Dastan hotel in Baku, located in the heart of the city center, right in the Old City. The experience was perfect! The hotel had a beautiful rooftop with a lovely restaurant offering amazing views. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Baku!”

Short walk to the old city, parks and seafront attractions. Staff are polite and speak fluent english, making it easy to sort problems and plan trips. Rooms were tidy and modern. Cheaper and nicer than other hotels I've stayed at in Baku. Great value for money.
